The Victorian government will introduce planning reforms that removes restrictions on Tiny homes across the state. From 1st December 2023, Tiny homes under 60 square metres will no longer require a planning permit for properties larger than 300 square metres with no floor or environmental overlays. We strongly advise you to do your own research.

The Queensland government has recently Doubled the First home owner grant from $15,000 to $30,000. You don’t need any deposit to apply for the grant – but it must be used within 1 year of purchasing a home. You must be 18 years old or older, Australian citizen or Permanent resident & you must live in the home you buy for at least 6 months.

This means you can utilise the $30,000 QLD grant money towards purchasing one of our
Dongaroo tiny Homes.

The tiny home can Only be put on land owned by a relative for example your parents, grandparents, child, stepchild, sibling or the spouse of any of these family members. The landowner must still seek approval from the local council. You may require a written agreement & a statutory declaration between the grant applicant & the relative.

We strongly advise you to do your own research.

Each council has its own interpretation of the planning regulations & this is different for every council in every state. For example – 2 Queensland councils have just passed recent legislation to rent out your Tiny home to non-family members & the entire state of Victoria has just passed legislation allowing a Tiny home without a planning permit to rent out. We strongly advise you to conduct your own research. *Disclaimer – Local council rules may apply.

As soon as Dongaroo tiny homes recieves your deposit, the average manufacture time is
currently between 4-5 weeks & the average delivery time to your doorstep is 4-5 weeks. So once the deposit is received it takes roughly between 8-10 weeks to receive your Dongaroo Tiny home on your doorstep. Our friendly customer care team will keep you in the loop with updates along the way.

To secure your Dongaroo Tiny home – The great news is we Only require a 20% deposit of the total purchase price. Most of our competitors ask for between a 30-50% deposit – but Not Dongaroo tiny homes.The remaining balance is required upon completion of building your Tiny home in order to start the delivery process. Customers must ensure they have all funds available. Get in quick there is huge demand for our Tiny homes !

Yes we do. Dongaroo Tiny homes agree to deliver to the front of your delivery address within 200 kms of our warehouse at Brisbane & Melbourne Ports – this is included in the price. Its important to note this is done via a tilt truck & we do our very best to place the Tiny home on your preferred spot.

However, we do not cover any costs you may require for a Franna crane in order to lift the Tiny home for example over a gate, over a neighbours fence etc. This is at a cost to the customer & we recommend you research this beforehand & contact local companies. All of this can be discussed with our customer care team & we do everything in our power to help.

  • A fully qualified electrician. The Dongaroo tiny home comes with 7 Australian standard LED lights fitted but these are not wired. The wires are there, but a fully qualified electrician must connect your new tiny home.
  • A plumber to connect to the sewage main, septic system, or grey water tank.
  • Supply and installation of HWS. If using a gas system, the gas must be certified by a certified plumber.
  • Any cooking appliances. Most happy customers tend to add an induction cooker single electric stove top, an air-fryer oven or a microwave in the kitchen area for cooking.
